... After an amazing week of training at the GWN Training Camp
Monday April 11, 2011

Last week, about fifteen of our girls attended the GWN Training Camp in sunny Orlando, Florida. It was grueling work, fighting through the familiar aches and pains of early season paddling, day after day.

The camp program was filled with six days of intense training, both on land and in the boat, and closed off with racing at the Central Florida Dragon Boat Festival, where the girls, racing as "Walgreens Women", took first place in the women's division!

Congratulations and thanks goes out to all the coaches and staff who created a phenomenal training experience. We all learned so much and applaud the hard work and planning that went into putting together a great training camp.

We're definitely looking forward to hitting the water again soon in a few weeks!
