    FAQs

  • What should I wear in the boat?

Comfortable fitted athletic wear is recommended and flip flops or watershoes. The current forecast is sunny with a high of 27'C. You may get wet so I would also suggest bringing a change of clothing.

  • Do I need to bring my own paddle?

No, we will supply paddles, with lengths from 44" to 51". We also have lifejackets for all paddlers.

  • What to bring?

Sunscreen, electrolyte drinks (eg. Gatorade) or water (we will provide some water but you may require additional hydration), healthy snacks (eg. granola bars, trail mix), towel and change of clothes.

  • Are there change rooms/washrooms/lockers/showers available?

Yes. The Sunnyside Pavilion has change rooms with $0.25 lockers, washroom and shower facilities. For safety reasons we encourage our paddlers to leave all valuables at home.

  • I can't swim... do the boats ever flip?

With calm conditions it is very unlikely to capsize or swamp. To ensure everyone's safety we require all paddlers to wear either the supplied lifejackets or their own lifejackets.

  • Are there lifeguards?

Yes. There will be NLS certified lifeguards in motor boats patrolling the on water practice and beachfront area at all times.

  • What are the available lunch options?

There are a couple of food vendors in the immediate area including the Sunnyside Cafe www.sunnysidepavilion.com. It tends to get busy during the summer so feel free to bring your own lunch.

Please be reminded that the venue has changed to Sunnyside Pavilion and is no longer at the Boulevard Club. The address for Sunnyside is:

    Sunnyside Pavilion
    1755 Lake Shore Blvd West
    Toronto, ON M6S 5A3
